The Challenge

Inspired by an earlier banner concept created with the lemonPI-suite, the Irish cider-brand Bulmers asked us to create a creative using the mobile gyroscope. With this, the user can look around the banner while moving the mobile device. An innovative technique like this has a great appeal to the younger target audience of the client.

In this case we can define two kind of challenges. Apart from technical complications related to using a newer technology, having the right assets to work with is key for a concept as such to work.

The Strategy

While using the LemonPI Studio environment, we combined the creative and technical capabilities of our creative team to develop this mobile banner. The creative freedom of the LemonPI toolkit allowed us to implement external libraries to handle the gyroscope functionalities, as well as make the beautiful design and animations needed to maintain our quality standards.

Prior to the above the line photoshoot, we provided clear requirements for our needed assets. This way, we made sure to receive the right material needed for the gyroscope creative. This really shows how a strong collaboration between creative agencies can benefit the whole campaign.

This way of working resulted in great way to interactively engage the consumer with Bulmers’ above the line story.
